Monday features lots of sun and a few clouds on an ocean breeze on the mainland, while the Keys will see a mix of sun and clouds.  Portions of the interior could see patchy dense fog early Monday morning.  Expect an elevated risk of dangerous rip currents at the Atlantic beaches on Monday and for most of the workweek.  Highs on Monday will be in the low-80s at the Atlantic coast and in the Keys, with the rest of South Florida topping out in the mid-80s.

Tuesday will bring a gusty breeze and a mix of sun, clouds, and some showers to the East Coast metro area.  The Gulf Coast will be sunny until clouds, showers, and possibly a stray storm develop in the midafternoon.  Look for good sun and some clouds in the Keys.  Tuesday’s highs will be in the low-80s in the East Coast metro area and the Keys and in the mid-80s along the Gulf Coast.

Wednesday will feature mostly sunny skies and a gusty ocean breeze in the East Coast metro area.  The Gulf Coast and the Keys will see lots of sun.  Wednesday’s highs will be in the low-80s in the East Coast metro area and the Keys and in the mid-80s along the Gulf Coast.

Thursday will kick off the month of May with good sun and a few clouds in the East Coast metro area and the Keys.  Look for sunny skies along the Gulf Coast.  Thursday’s highs will be mostly in the mid-80s.

Faith Based Events

Friday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies around South Florida.  Highs on Friday will be in the mid-80s on the mainland and the low-80s in the Keys.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
