Friday features some early patchy fog, followed by mostly sunny skies in the East Coast metro area and lots of sun along the Gulf Coast and in the Keys.  An elevated risk of dangerous rip currents is in place at the Atlantic beaches.  Highs on Friday will be in the upper-80s right at the Atlantic and Gulf coasts, near 80 degrees in the suburbs of the East Coast metro area, and mostly in the mid-70s in the Keys.

Saturday will bring morning lows in the 60s.  The East Coast metro area will see a mix of sun and clouds, while the Gulf Coast and the Keys will see more clouds than sun.  Expect a few showers in the Keys.  Saturday’s highs will be mostly in the low-80s in the East Coast metro area and mostly in the mid-70s along the Gulf Coast and the Keys.

Sunday will feature some sun and plenty of clouds on the mainland, while the Keys will be mostly sunny.  Sunday’s highs will be near 80 degrees in the East Coast metro area, in the upper-70s along the Gulf Coast, and the mid-70s in the Keys.

Monday will be a mostly sunny day along the Gulf Coast and the Keys, but clouds will linger in the East Coast metro area.  Monday’s highs will be near 80 degrees on the mainland and mostly in the mid-70s in the Keys.

Faith Based Events

Tuesday’s forecast calls for more clouds than sun in the East Coast metro area.  Look for good sun and a few clouds along the Gulf Coast and the Keys.  Highs on Tuesday will be in the low-80s on the mainland and mostly in the upper-70s in the Keys.

Donna Thomas has studied hurricanes for two decades. She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
