Less Rain And More Sun Friday

That weak cold front that’s been bringing us all the rain has finally moved south and is forecast to linger over the Florida Keys and Straits keeping extra moisture around. This will pick up the winds off the ocean to carry onshore some showers through the weekend.  Rip currents are likely along the east coast beaches

Plan on hotter weather and more sunshine today along the Gulf coast. We’ll see a lot more areas with highs around 90 by Friday afternoon compared to the past few days.

The best chance for some afternoon pop-up storms again across Collier County.

The weekend looks fairly seasonable for this time of year with highs near 90, plenty of sun along with some scattered afternoon showers and storms. The best chance of rain will be late in the day and near the Gulf. Rain chances will be a little higher this weekend.

Faith Based Events

Next week we’ll see the pattern change to drier and hotter weather. Temperatures in the afternoon are expected to start creeping higher and higher into the 90s with only a few storms each day.
