Lauren Book Snares Broward Cop Endorsement

By Buddy Nevins, BrowardBeat.com, for SouthFloridaReporter.com, Jan. 8, 2016 – State Senate candidate Lauren Book has snared the endorsement of the Broward County Police Benevolent Association, which would mean more if she had an opponent.

However, it is an example of how money — she has more than $1 million in her campaign — and clout from her father, veteran lobbyist Ron Book, buys influence for a novice candidate.

That is not to say that Ms. Book doesn’t deserve the endorsement.  I agree with Broward PBA President Jeff Marano when he says:

“Lauren has proven to be an incredible and resilient woman…she will be a great leader and asset not only to her District 32 constituents, but to all Floridians….”
