June Sun, Storms, More Rain on the Way

South Florida will see early June sun, showers, and storms on Thursday, but some heavy rain is on the way. Thursday features some early showers in spots, followed by some afternoon showers and storms (especially inland), and highs near 90 degrees.

june sunMore showers will be around on Friday, and more areas will see afternoon storms. Friday’s highs will be near 90 degrees.

A hot and humid weekend will see widespread afternoon storms, especially on Sunday as some tropical moisture works its way in. Highs will be near 90 degrees on Saturday and Sunday.

Monday could be quite stormy, with periods of heavy rain and possible localized flooding. Highs will be in the upper 80s.

The remnants of Bonnie continue to dump rain along the North Carolina coast as the system moves slowly to the northeast. We’re also watching an area in the southeastern Gulf of Mexico that some computer models indicate could develop next week.
