Oreo needs your help coming up with its next best flavor.
On the heels of the company’s Firework Oreos, which hit shelves Monday, Oreo is holding a $500,000 contest for consumers to create its next cookie flavor. People can submit their ideas across social media platforms using the hashtags #MyOREOCreation and #Contest, according to manufacturer Mondelez International. There’s also a number listed in the official contest rules for people to text their flavor suggestions.
Oreo is looking for creative, original flavors that evoke a “feeling of joy or deliciousness.” Flavors should also “remind you of an experience that would inspire an Oreo cookie creation.”
Once the contest ends on July 14, Oreo will judge submissions and determine three finalist cookies to be produced and marketed for a limited time. People will then be able to vote on the flavor they like best, and the finalist whose cookie gets the most votes wins the grand prize money.
