Celebrate America’s Independence Day at the City of Fort Lauderdale’s free 4th of July Spectacular! The Independence Day Celebration will feature a patriotic extravaganza featuring live bands, a kids zone, beach games, contests, family activities and a dazzling fireworks display. The 4th of July Spectacular takes place on July 4 from Noon to 9:30 p.m. on Fort Lauderdale Beach at A1A and Las Olas Boulevard.
The City of Boynton Beach will host a July 4th celebration complete with music, food trucks, children’s activities and one of the largest fireworks displays in Palm Beach County. This free, family-friendly event will take place at Intracoastal Park (2240 N. Federal Hwy.) on Thursday, July 4 from 6:30 to 9:30 pm.
This year’s event begins with a parade, one of the oldest in Broward County, at 10AM, and ends at 9PM with a great fireworks show shot off the beach just north of El Prado Park.
There are also family activities in El Prado Park, 4500 El Mar Drive, from 11AM to 3PM, including face painting, a water slide, music, food, a clown and equipment demonstrations by the Town’s Volunteer Fire Department. This year’s parade Grand Marshal is Everett Sorensen, a Town pioneer and business owner who moved here in 1959.
