The WWE Universe witnessed one of The Undertaker’s returns to WWE this year. His return was in fact of one of the major storylines this summer revolving around Shane McMahon’s ego trip.
At Extreme Rules, we saw The Dead Man team up with Roman Reigns to take on McMahon and Drew McIntyre. But Shane and McIntyre receiving a key assist from the disrespectful Elias, who was The Undertaker’s first victim upon return. Despite all that, The Undertaker nailed a perfect Tombstone on Shane to see his team home.
After the match at Extreme Rules, there have been huge speculations going on regarding The Undertaker vs Drew McIntyre match. According to WWE News, this match is expected to take place at SummerSlam 2019.
The Undertaker delivered one of his best performances in ages at Extreme Rules. The Undertaker was greeted “You Still Got It” chants from the Philadelphia faithful. Now it is clear that The Dead Man still got a couple of matches left in him.
But is one of those matches going to take place at WWE SummerSlam 2019? And will it be Drew McIntyre? Considering the recent developments this is very much possible.
People were disappointed since the first WrestleMania since 2000 without The Undertaker. So we can bank on him competing at WWE’s second-biggest show of the year in Toronto, The SummerSlam 2019. Also as evident from Extreme Rules, McIntyre and The Undertaker seem to have great chemistry in the ring.
McIntyre has already shown signs of greatness and possibility to become a future Universal Champion. But due to some badly choreographed feuds, he’s lost some momentum this summer, especially since his alliance with Shane McMahon. A big match against The Undertaker at SummerSlam could be all McIntyre’s career need at the moment. Win or lose, coming on the toe to toe with the living legend is only a dream for many.
It’s more likely for the McIntyre vs. Undertaker to take place than any other match involving The UnderTaker. Some people have been theorizing another Shane vs. Undertaker match. It lacks excitement and the tiniest smudge of thrill. What about Elias vs. Undertaker? Perhaps, yes, but still again, McIntyre would be a bigger and better opponent. This might be the closure this feud needs. This might be McIntyre’s big break.
SummerSlam is a rassling pay-per-view event, made annually by WWE happening on 11 August 2019. Dubbed as “The Biggest Party of the Summer,” it is one of the original “Big Four” pay-per-view events of WWE and considered the WWE’s second-biggest event of the year behind WrestleMania.
