Thursday features mostly sunny skies and steamy heat in the East Coast metro area, while the Gulf Coast will see lots of sun and a few afternoon storms in spots.  Look for lots of sun in the Keys.  Highs on Thursday will be in the mid-80s right at the Atlantic coast and in the Keys, but highs will reach the upper-80s everywhere else in South Florida.

Friday will bring a mix of sun, clouds and afternoon showers and storms in the East Coast metro area.  The Gulf Coast will be sunny with some afternoon and evening storms in spots, while the Keys will be mostly sunny.  Friday’s highs will be in the upper-80s on the mainland and the mid-80s in the Keys.

Saturday will feature more clouds than sun and periods of showers on the mainland.  The Keys will see a mix of sun and clouds.  Saturday’s highs will be in the upper-80s on the mainland and the mid-80s in the Keys.

Mother’s Day will be cloudy with periods of showers on the mainland, so plan to celebrate indoors.  The Keys will see a mix of sun, clouds, and a few showers.  Sunday’s highs will be mostly in the upper-80s on the mainland and the mid-80s in the Keys.

Faith Based Events

Tuesday’s forecast calls for plenty of clouds and periods of showers and storms.  Highs on Monday will be in the mid-80s.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
