Heavy Downpours, Dangerous Lightning Possible

lightning

South Florida will see periods of showers and storms on Friday, including the possibility of heavy downpours in spots. A few early showers will give way to afternoon and evening showers and storms, with most of the activity inland and on the Gulf coast. But we can’t rule out a strong storm or two in the western sections of Miami-Dade and Broward, bringing heavy rain, dangerous lightning, and gusty winds. Friday’s highs will be near 90 degrees.

lightningMorning showers will be around on Saturday, and some storms will develop in the afternoon, especially inland. Saturday’s highs will be around the 90 degree mark.

Sunday will be sticky, with some afternoon storms and highs in the low 90s.

Monday and Tuesday will see a return to more typical late July weather — early coastal showers, scattered afternoon storms, and highs in the muggy low 90s.
