Retired Miami Dolphins defensive end and former Dancing With The Stars runner-up Jason Taylor is discounting his Broward County property by a whopping $150,000 – but most of us still wouldn’t be able to buy it.
Taylor, 42, now wants $4 million even for his seven-bedroom, eight-bathroom crib on Paddock Road in the fancy Windmill Ranches section in Weston.
With 10,247 square feet under A/C, a humidity-controlled spiral curved glass wine cellar, home theater boasting a 127-inch curved screen and cigar and poker room, the house may have seemed a tad big for a baller in retirement.
According to records, Taylor quietly bought a smaller place in the nearby Hawk’s Landing in Plantation in March for $870,000. It’s a five-bedroom place stretching on a much narrower 3,300-square-feet.
In Weston, meanwhile, the broker who’s trying to sell the former Fins star’s mansion isn’t returning calls.
But it’s clear the house hasn’t generated much interest from buyers. It was first listed for $4.15 million Feb. 25.
Taylor, who payed in the NFL for 15 seasons, plunked down $3.6 million in 2006 for the house and the acre of land around it.
