Fewer Showers, More Sun

South Florida will see fewer showers and more sun on Friday as drier air works its way for the weekend. Friday features a mix of sun and clouds, with a few isolated showers moving through at times. A high risk of dangerous rip currents continues at the Atlantic beaches on Friday. Friday’s highs will be near 80 degrees.

 

Saturday will bring a nice mix of sun and clouds with the chance of a stray shower. Saturday’s highs will be in the low 80s.

Sunday will be another day of sun and clouds, with a few late showers as a front slowly approaches. Sunday’s highs will be in the low 80s.

Faith Based Events

Monday will see the front arrive, bringing slightly cooler temperatures and lower humidity. Monday’s highs will be in the upper 70s.

Look for a mix of sun and clouds, with passing showers at times, on Tuesday. Tuesday’s highs will be in the upper 70s.

In the tropics, an extensive trough of low pressure in the Caribbean has a low chance of developing, but it will bring heavy rain to Puerto Rico.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
