Father’s Day may not receive the same attention as Mother’s Day, but Chef/Owner Pascal Oudin of Pascal’s on Ponce and executive chef Fabien Micard of Brasserie Central are changing that on Sunday, June 21 from 11am–6pm with a festive boozy bistro brunch at Brasserie Central at The Village of Merrick Park that even includes a future free meal for the man of the hour.
In honor of hungry dads everywhere, Oudin and Micard have created a scrumptious three-course prix fixe brunch featuring top dishes from both popular Coral Gables haunts, along with unlimited mimosas and a special invitation to return for a complimentary breakfast, all for just $45 per person, excluding tax and gratuities.
Appetizer and main choices include Veloutè De Poireaux et Pomme de Terre, or leek and potato vichyssoise; Patè Campagnard – delectable country style pate served alongside cornichons and Dijon mustard; and Saumon Fumè Ecossais – smoked salmon, tomato, capers and crème fraiche; a sinful Brioche French Toast Or Belgian Waffle; the savory Croque Monsieur Ou Croque Madame; Boudin Blanc Truffle – truffle white Boudin sausage, apple and mashed potatoes; the Onglet A L’echalotte – hanger steak with shallot sauce and french fries; Oeufs Florentine – perfectly poached eggs with ham, spinach, hollandaise sauce and toasted baguette; and Cuisse De Canard A L’oeuf Mollet – duck confit and Salardaise potato, topped with a soft boiled egg. Dessert options are traditional French treats including Crêpes Suzette; Ile Flottante – floating island with vanilla crème anglaise; Mousse Au Chocolat; Pêche Melba – peach and vanilla ice cream with raspberry coulis and chantilly; and Coupe Glacé – vanilla & chocolate ice cream. An all day Bistro menu will be offered as well.
