Fabulous FallSouth Florida will enjoy a fabulous fall day on Thursday. After a cool morning with lows in the 50s and very low 60s, Thursday features plenty of sun with a cloud or two at times. Highs on Thursday will be in the upper 70s.

Friday will start with another cool morning, and then the day will bring a nice mix of sun and clouds, a building breeze, and just the chance of a stray shower. Friday’s highs will in the low 80s.

Tropical moisture seeps in on Saturday, so clouds, showers, and storms are back. Periods of heavy rain are possible. Saturday’s highs will be in the mid 80s.

We’ll see some early showers and a few storms on Sunday, but then they will clear out as yet another front sweeps through. Sunday’s highs will be in the low 80s.

Faith Based Events

Monday will bring good sun and a few clouds. Highs on Monday will be mostly in the upper 70s.

In the tropics, the area of disturbed weather near the Central American coast has a medium chance of developing as it moves generally northward during the next few days.

Donna Thomas has studied hurricanes for two decades. She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
