Early Fog, Then Sun and Clouds

Tuesday features some patchy morning fog, followed by a nice mix of sun and clouds.  Expect an elevated risk of dangerous rip currents along the Palm Beach County coast.  Highs on Tuesday will be in the low-80s in the East Coast metro area, near 80-degrees along the Gulf Coast, and the Keys.

Wednesday will bring seasonable morning lows in the 60s.  Then look for plenty of sun in the East Coast metro area and mostly sunny skies along the Gulf Coast and the Keys.  Wednesday’s highs will be near 80 degrees on the mainland and in the upper-70s in the Keys.

Thursday will feature a near-perfect early February day, with sunny skies on the mainland and good sun with a few clouds in the Keys.  Thursday’s highs will be mostly in the low-80s in the East Coast metro area, near 80 degrees along the Gulf Coast, and in the upper-70s in the Keys.

Friday will be another seasonably warm and pleasant day, with lots of sun on the mainland and a nice mix of sun and clouds in the Keys.  Friday’s highs will be near 80 degrees on the mainland and in the upper-70s in the Keys.

Faith Based Events

Saturday’s forecast calls for another sunny day on the mainland and mostly sunny skies in the Keys.  Highs on Saturday will be in the low-80s on the mainland and the upper-70s in the Keys.

Donna Thomas has studied hurricanes for two decades. She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
