DORAL — Just like he’s shown his Republican rivals in the race to the White House, Donald Trump is showing no mercy for his Doral golf club neighbors.
The Trump-owned company that bought Trump National Doral Miami in 2011 is suing the owners of five single family homes on NW 45th Lane and NW 43rd Terrace whose backyards touch the edges of the golf course.
The reason: The presidential candidate’s lawyers claim the Doral Chase homeowners – Francisco Rodriguez, James Almaraz, Alejo Carlos Peyret, Nancy Dominguez and Juan Infante – have been messing with the PGA Tour golf course’s new landscape.
According to the five lawsuits filed in four separate Miami-Dade County circuit courts, the new trees, bushes and flowers were a part of Trump’s alleged $200 million investment in the host resort of the upcoming WGC-Cadillac Championship.
In true Trump fashion, the lawsuits describe the early March tourney as “one of the most important in professional golf.”
