FORT LAUDERDALE — The Super Bowl wouldn’t be the Super Bowl without Miami Dolphins legend Dan Marino involved, somehow.
And even if the 54-year-old retired QB never won one, he’s covered plenty of them on TV — until he was canned from CBS’ The NFL Today in 2014 for much hipper and younger ex-tight end Tony Gonzalez.
Well, Marino’s back, and he’ll be featured prominently in next week’s broadcast of Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara, Calif.
Marino, who’s also the Dolphins’ CEO, will be shilling for Amazon’s new Echo, a voice command device, alongside actor Alec Baldwin (see the preview below).
Super Bowl time has always been special for Fort Lauderdale resident Marino.
It was, after all, in the days leading to the February 2013 Super Bowl that the very-married-for-a-very-long-time Marino had to admit publicly he fathered a love child with an NFL Today producer.
Which makes his obsession with cheerleaders in the commercial slightly, how shall we say, creepy!
