Friday features a chilly start, followed by plenty of sun and a few clouds on a cool and gusty breeze.  Expect a high risk of dangerous rip currents at the Atlantic beaches on Friday into Saturday.  Highs on Friday will be in the low-70s right on the Atlantic coast and in the mid-70s elsewhere in South Florida.

Saturday will bring morning lows in the upper-50s and low-60s.  The day will see more clouds than sun on the mainland. Saturday’s highs will be in the mid-70s.

Sunday will feature a cool morning, with lows in the low to mid-60s on the mainland.  Then look for a mix of sun and clouds with afternoon showers on the mainland.  The Keys will see plenty of clouds and showers at times.  Sunday’s highs will be mostly in the mid-70s.

Monday will see periods of showers and more clouds than sun.  Monday’s highs will be in the mid-70s.

Faith Based Events

Tuesday’s forecast calls for a cool morning, followed by good sun and a few clouds in the East Coast metro area and sunny skies along the Gulf Coast and the Keys.  Highs on Tuesday will be in the mid-70s.

Donna Thomas has studied hurricanes for two decades. She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
