Friday features a cool morning, followed by sunny skies on the mainland and a nice mix of sun and clouds in the Keys.  A high risk of dangerous rip currents is in place at the Atlantic beaches.  Highs on Friday will be mostly in the mid-80s in the East Coast metro area, in the low-80s along the Gulf Coast, and in the Keys.

Saturday will bring morning lows in the low to mid-60s on the mainland.  Then look for sunny skies around South Florida.  Look for breezy conditions along the Gulf Coast and a brisk and gusty breeze in the East Coast metro area.  Expect a high risk of dangerous rip currents along the Palm Beach County coast.  Saturday’s highs will be in the low-80s in the East Coast metro area and the upper-70s along the Gulf Coast and the Keys.

Sunday will feature a rather chilly morning, with lows in the upper-50s on the mainland.  Then we’ll see lots of sun.  Sunday’s highs will be in the low-80s in the East Coast metro area and the upper-70s along the Gulf Coast and the Keys.

Monday morning will be unseasonably cool, with lows in the upper-50s and low-60s on the mainland.  Then look for sunny skies again.  Monday’s highs will be in the low-80s on the mainland and near 80 degrees in the Keys.

Faith Based Events

Tuesday’s forecast calls for a cool start, followed by lots of sun and maybe a cloud at times.  Highs on Tuesday will be in the mid-80s on the mainland and the low-80s in the Keys.

Donna Thomas has studied hurricanes for two decades. She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
