Saturday features a cool morning, followed by some sun and increasing clouds in the East Coast metro area and mostly sunny skies along the Gulf Coast and the Keys.  We can’t rule out a late shower in spots.  A high risk of dangerous rip currents remains at the Atlantic beaches until at least Saturday afternoon.  Highs on Saturday will be in the mid-70s.

Sunday will bring morning lows in the low to mid-60s.  Then look for plenty of clouds and some afternoon and evening showers in the East Coast metro area, while the Gulf Coast will see good sun and a few clouds with some showers moving in during the afternoon and evening.  The Keys will be mostly sunny.  Sunday’s highs will be mostly in the upper-70s in the East Coast metro area and the mid-70s along the Gulf Coast and in the Keys.

Monday will feature plenty of clouds, periods of showers, and even a storm in spots as another front moves in.  Monday’s highs will be in the mid-70s in the East Coast metro area and the Keys and mostly in the low-70s along the Gulf Coast.

Tuesday morning lows will be in the low to mid-60s on the mainland.  The day will see good sun and a few clouds on the mainland, but the East Coast metro area could also see a few showers and even a storm.  Look for lots of sun in the Keys.  Tuesday’s highs will be mostly in the mid-70s, with a few locations topping out in the upper-70s.

Wednesday’s forecast calls for a cool morning, with lows in the upper-50s to low-60s on the mainland.  Then look for sunny skies around South Florida.  Highs on Wednesday will be mostly in the upper-70s in the East Coast metro area, the mid-70s along the Gulf Coast, and the Keys.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
