Clouds and Showers As Another Front Moves In

Sunday features a mild morning, followed by plenty of clouds and a bit of sun — but showers will move in on a gusty breeze during the afternoon and linger into the evening.  Expect an elevated risk of dangerous rip currents at the Atlantic and Gulf beaches.  Highs on Sunday will be mostly in the low-80s in the East Coast metro area, in the mid-70s along the Gulf Coast, and in the Keys.

Martin Luther King Day will bring a chilly start, with morning lows in the 50s on the mainland.  The day will be mostly cloudy with showers on a gusty breeze.  Monday’s highs will top out in the upper-60s in the East Coast metro area and the mid-60s along the Gulf Coast and the Keys.

Tuesday will feature another chilly morning, with lows in the 50s to low-60s on the mainland.  Then look for lots of clouds and periods of showers.  Expect a gusty breeze near the Gulf Coast.  Tuesday’s highs will be mostly in the mid-70s in the East Coast metro area and the Keys and the upper-60s along the Gulf Coast.

Wednesday will start with another chilly morning, followed by lots of clouds and periods of showers.  Wednesday’s highs will be in the low-70s in the East Coast metro area, in the mid-60s along the Gulf Coast, and the upper 60s in the Keys.

Faith Based Events

Thursday’s forecast calls for yet another chilly morning. Then look for cloudy skies and a few showers at times.  Highs on Thursday will be mostly in the low 70s.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
