Friday features a chilly morning, followed by a cool and gusty breeze with lots of sun.  Expect an elevated risk of dangerous rip currents at both the Gulf and Atlantic beaches, with a high rip current risk along the Palm Beach County coast.  Drought conditions and gusty winds will increase the risk of wildfires, as smoke from the fire in extreme southern Miami-Dade continues to affect air quality in portions of the county.  Highs on Friday will be in the mid-70s in the East Coast metro area and the low-70s along the Gulf Coast and the Keys.

Saturday morning will be chilly, with lows in the 50s on the mainland and the low-60s in the Keys.  Then look for mostly sunny skies.  Saturday’s highs will be in the upper-70s in the East Coast metro area and the mid-70s along the Gulf Coast and the Keys.

Sunday will feature a cool morning, with lows in the upper-50s to mid-60s on the mainland.  The day will be mostly sunny along the Gulf Coast, but the East Coast metro area and the Keys will see more clouds than sun.  Sunday’s highs will be
in the low-80s on the mainland and the upper-70s in the Keys.

Monday will start with lows in the 60s.  Then look for plenty of clouds and a bit of sun on the mainland, while the Keys will see mostly sunny skies.  Monday’s highs will be in the mid-80s in the East Coast metro area and the low-80s along the Gulf Coast and the Keys.

Tuesday’s forecast calls for some sun and plenty of clouds, with periods of showers and storms.  Highs on Tuesday will be mostly in the low-80s in the East Coast metro area and in the upper-70s along the Gulf Coast and the Keys.

Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons.
