By Buddy Nevins, BrowardBeat.com, for SouthFloridaReporter.com, oCT. 13, 2015 – Maybe Rosalind Osgood shouldn’t have showed up at the Plantation City Commission last week trying to prove the city’s public schools were doing better.
Commissioners weren’t buying it.
Instead of a pat on the back or an attagirl, Osgood was filleted.
Osgood had a set of new statistics designed to illustrate that the Plantation schools were better than the dismal letter grades from the state would indicate.
But the new statistics could only be spun so far. By dissecting them, commissioners still found a bleak picture of the Plantation public schools.
