By Buddy Nevins, BrowardBeat.com, for SouthFloridaReporter.com, Oct. 21, 2015 – Democratic activist Nick Steffens was busted by the cops on Tuesday and charged with four counts of grand theft.
A Coral Springs lawyer and former Democratic committeeman from northwest Broward, Steffens was arrested on Tuesday and booked into the main Broward County Jail.
It was not immediately known what his charges involved. There was speculation the charges concerned earlier allegations that he misappropriated $189,109 from his law practice trust account.
He had already been suspended by the Florida Bar on those allegations.
