Even the most ambitious chocolate lover would probably want to stay away from this box of chocolates that’s over 100 years old! Josh King has the story (@abridgetoland).
Over 100 years ago, Eileen Margaret Elmes received a Christmas present that she would keep until she died in 2007, at the age of 99. It was a box of chocolates inspired by Little Red Riding Hood.
Now, her niece has unveiled the stunning box of Little Red Riding Hood Pascall’s Chocolate Novelties.
“My aunt told me she couldn’t eat the chocolates because they were so pretty and beautifully wrapped — even though she loved chocolate,” said Eileen’s niece, who has chosen to remain anonymous.
There are four chocolate figurines with paper clothes. One appears to be Little Red Riding Hood, a baby in a cradle, a sailor, and a lady wearing a bonnet and dress.
