Two real estate sources tell Gossip Extra Gates, America’s richest man, is in the process of buying his entire street after spending the last three winters at his ranch at 3155 Mallet Hill Court.

The founder of Microsoft has a contract two on of his neighbors’ properties that close by the end of the month and is negotiating for three vacant lots.

His shopping spree could set him back about $30 million!

Well, set back is a figure of speech when it comes to Gates: He is, after all, worth $77.4 billion as of today, according to Forbes.

“Bill’s worried about his privacy,” said one of the residents who’s closing is set for next week. “There are only two houses on the street and three vacant lots, but there’s more traffic than you’d think.

The two occupied properties have several employees. There are some parties, equestrians in training, horse trailers going back and forth. Bill’s place isn’t in the cul-de-sac. It’s right after the guard gate and there’s quite a bit of traffic passing by his ranch.”

As Gossip Extra told you exclusively at the time, Gates paid $8.7 million for his property in May 2013 so that he and wife Melinda could watch their daughter Jennifer train and compete in the Winter Equestrian Festival.

Soon after his arrival, Gates forced several changes on the street, including stepped up security.
