Myakka River State Park

If you are looking for Florida’s Natural Beauty, you will find this in Myakka River State Park. Myakka River is one of the oldest and largest state parks in Florida.

The Myakka River State Park is a home for gators, turkey, panthers, herons, and egrets and their diverse habitats, from prairies to wetlands.

With this amount of animals, wildlife is a popular activity in Myakka River State Park. In this state park, there are daily boat tours available to go cruise on the water and focus on Nature Photography. Hikers can also tread along 38.9 miles. If you want to see and capture gators’ photos, then make sure to stop near “the deep hole.”

There are about ninety campsites inside the park. So you cannot go short with electrical service, water, bathroom, and a fire rig within every forty yards.

Here six campsites are allowed for Hammock camping. Six spots are designated for primitive campers. But you need to be prepared with water as there is no guarantee.

Jonathan Dickinson State Park

The point that Jonathan Dickinson State Park is north of the late Burt Reynolds’ estate should be sufficient to draw any visitor. But if not, the park’s stunning sixteen natural communities will get you.

The Loxahatchee River, named from the Seminole phrase for “river of turtles,” winds through the park, sheltered by cypress trees and bordered by mangroves, making kayaking and canoeing here a favorite pastime. Be careful because alligators take to the waters as much as the turtles.

This park offers two campgrounds for the sake of reservation. Pine Grove is located East of the park, and the River Campground is located nearly four miles from the park entrance.

You will have access to water, electricity, a table, and a grill in both of these campgrounds. Just make sure you bring your RV water hose. Sewer hookups are offered in Pine Grove.

Fort DeSoto Campground

Fort DeSoto Campground offers 238 camping sites, a barrier-free nature trail, and seven miles of Paved trail that creates natural wonder to everyone. The point to be noted here is this park is pet-friendly.

It also features a dog park for canine camping companions. If you take a canoe or kayak into the water, you can watch out for wildlife. The sharks and the manatee are most common around the Fort DeSoto Campground.

Anastasia State Park

Anastasia State Park is a campground that has a deep history. This campground is located in NorthEast Florida. This park allows the hikers to hike around the Ancient Dunes Nature Trail Troop. Don’t worry about these ancient dunes, as 80 of 123 campsites are modern with RV-friendly hookups. It is a great place for a wonderful family vacation.

This state park is also home to Florida’s important history. Near the entrance of the park, there is a Coquina quarry. These quarries provide valuable rocks that become the foundation of the town of St. Augustine.

Blackwater River State Park

Blackwater River is one of the purest sand bottoms in the world. If you look at this water, then you can notice its uniqueness. The black water gently touches the white sand in the juxtaposition.

This is not only the distinctive feature of this park. This park also has one of the largest and oldest Atlantic white cedars. You can camp along the shores of the beach at one of the 27 plots. The remaining 26 plots are for RVs.
