Afternoon Storms Around South Florida

By Donna Thomas, SouthFloridaReporter.com Meteorologist, July 20, 2015 – South Florida will see more afternoon storms on Monday, but not everyone will get some much needed rain. After a few stray showers on Monday morning, look for building clouds, highs in the sticky low 90s, and afternoon storms moving through the area and lasting into the early evening. Some locations could see brief downpours, along with lightning and gusty winds.

Tuesday will bring afternoon storms and highs in the low 90s. Rain chances will go up a bit on Wednesday and Thursday, as highs reach the low 90s again and afternoon storms form.

Computer models indicate more moisture will work into South Florida by Friday, and both Friday and the weekend could be quite stormy.
