A Front Arrives Bringing Strong Storms Friday

South Florida will see strong storms on Friday as a front moves in.  After some overnight showers, the day features clouds, some early sun, and afternoon and evening storms and showers.  Expect strong to severe storms with damaging winds and heavy downpours.  Dangerous rip currents will be a threat at all South Florida beaches into the weekend.  Highs on Friday will be in the mid 80s.

Some overnight showers will give way to drier conditions on Saturday, with mostly sunny skies along the Gulf coast and a mix of sun and clouds elsewhere.  Saturday’s highs will be near 80 degrees.

A cool start and sunny skies are in the forecast for Easter.  Sunday’s highs will be mostly in the upper 70s.

Monday will bring good sun and a few clouds.  Monday’s highs will be near 80 degrees.

Faith Based Events

Look for blue skies and a few clouds at times on Tuesday.  Highs on Tuesday will be in the low 80s.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
