Certain bags of popular potato chips have been recalled for potential Salmonella contamination, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced Monday.
Utz Quality foods, LLC, issued a voluntary recall for certain batches of Zapp’s® and Dirty® brand potato chips after being notified that the seasoning powder used may contain Salmonella. Currently, no illnesses have been reported in connection with the recalled products.

What You Should Do
If you have any of the recalled chips in your home, do not eat them—instead, discard them and request a refund through the Utz Customer Care team by calling 1-877-423-0149.
No illnesses have been reported in connection to the recall, but keep the symptoms of Salmonella infection in mind if you’ve eaten any of the affected chips. They include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.
Additionally, retailers are being asked to check their inventories and shelves to make sure that none of the recalled products are available for purchase.
