
The forecast track has not changed much at 11 am on Sunday, but it will be a very close call as to how far offshore Dorian’s hurricane force winds are as it makes its way near the Florida coast on Tuesday. Palm Beach County should expect damaging tropical storm force winds and hurricane strength gusts. Broward County, especially north of I-595, can expect prolonged periods tropical storm force winds and stronger gusts. Elsewhere in South Florida, expect at least tropical storm force gusts, and areas near the east coast will likely experience prolonged periods of tropical storm force winds. All of South Florida can expect periods of heavy rain, and coastal flooding, heavy swells, and dangerous rip currents along the Atlantic coast.
An update is expected from the National Hurricane Center at 2 pm.
