Saturday will bring clouds and showers in the morning, followed by plenty of showers and storms in the afternoon and evening. Heavy rain is possible in spots. Saturday’s highs will be mostly in the upper 80s.
Sunday will feature mostly sunny skies with some mainly afternoon showers and storms on the mainland, while the Keys will see plenty of clouds and periods of showers. Sunday’s highs will be mostly in the upper 80s in the east coast metro area and the Keys, while the Gulf coast will top out near 90 degrees.
Monday will see a mix of sun and clouds in the morning, followed by periods of showers and storms in the afternoon. Monday’s highs will be near 90 degrees in the east coast metro area, in the low 90s along the Gulf coast, and in the upper 80s in the Keys.
Tuesday’s forecast calls for a September mix of sun, clouds, showers, and storms. Highs on Tuesday will be in the upper 80s in the east coast metro area and the Keys and in the low 90s along the Gulf coast.
In the tropics, we’re watching the extreme eastern Atlantic, where a wave is forecast to emerge from the African coast this weekend. The National Hurricane Center gives this wave a low chance of becoming a depression in the next several days as it moves to the west or west-northwest. We’ll keep an eye on it.
