Sun And Clouds Today, Expect A Wet Weekend

South Florida will see mostly sun and clouds today. After a mild morning, the day features good sun and a few clouds. Highs on Thursday will be in the mid 80s along the east coast and near 90 degrees elsewhere.

Friday morning will remain mostly dry with morning lows in the low 70s. Then the day will bring sun and clouds until some showers start to move in late in the afternoon and during the evening. Friday’s highs will be in the mid 80s in the east coast metro areas and the upper 80s elsewhere.

The weekend ushers in a wetter pattern. Saturday will see clouds, some sun, and periods of showers and storms. Saturday’s highs will be in the mid 80s.

Mother’s Day will bring clouds, showers, and some storms, so indoor celebrations will be in order. Sunday’s highs will be in the mid 80s.

Faith Based Events

Rainy weather will hang around on Monday, so look for clouds and periods of showers and storms. Highs on Monday will be in the mid 80s.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
