Warm With a Gusty Breeze

Thursday features some early fog along the Gulf Coast and in the interior.  Then look for mostly sunny skies and a gusty breeze in the East Coast metro area, while the Gulf Coast will be sunny with a gusty breeze.  The Keys will see a mix of sun and clouds.  A high risk of dangerous rip currents is in place at the Atlantic beaches.  Highs on Thursday will be in the mid-80s on the mainland and the low-80s in the Keys.

Friday will bring good sun and a few clouds.  Look for a gusty ocean breeze in the East Coastmetro area and some afternoon showers in spots on the mainland.  Friday’s highs will be mostly in the mid-80s on the mainland and in the low-80s in the Keys.

Saturday will feature lots of warm sun on the mainland and a nice mix of sun and clouds in the Keys.  The gusty breeze will continue near the Atlantic coast.  Saturday’s highs will be in the low-80s on the mainland and near 80 degrees in the Keys.

Sunday will be mostly sunny and breezy on the mainland as a front approaches. The Keys will see good sun and a few clouds at times.  Look for some afternoon showers in spots along the Gulf Coast.  Sunday’s highs will be mostly in the mid-80s in the East Coast metro area, in the low-80s along the Gulf Coast, and near 80 degrees in the Keys.

Faith Based Events

The Presidents’ Day forecast calls for morning lows in the low- to mid-60s on the mainland, followed by some sun and more clouds.  Highs on Monday will be in the upper-70s in the East Coast metro area and the mid-70s along the Gulf Coast and in the Keys.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
