In Jewish faith and culture, Chanukah is a holiday often celebrated with friends, family, and other loved ones. For Jews living in St. Petersburg who want to celebrate Chanukah with their fellow young professionals, the Chabad Jewish Center of St. Petersburg offers a series of events to commemorate the holiday, including the signature FLAME event.
What is FLAME?
Now in its third year, FLAME is the most anticipated Chanukah celebration in St. Petersburg, hosted by the Chabad Jewish Center of St. Petersburg. Held at the trendy event venue Savant on Second in Downtown St. Petersburg on Saturday, December 28, at 8:00 PM, FLAME will be a night filled with exciting and meaningful activities for young Jewish professionals in the area.
FLAME will offer all sorts of activities for attendees on the fifth night of the Festival of Lights in style, beginning with a Grand Menorah lighting to commemorate the holiday and its millennia of importance to Jewish people and culture.
Admission to FLAME includes an open bar along with all the fun activities and opportunities to mingle planned for the celebration. The party will also feature a fresh latke station, offering plenty of the traditional Chanukah delicacy for attendees to enjoy, with toppings ranging from classics to modern twists. To give some added excitement to the festivities, FLAME will even have an epic dreidel tournament and an “Ugly Chanukah Sweater” contest with a prize for the winner.
However, FLAME is more than your average holiday party. Chabad is a place where Jews from all backgrounds and observance levels can come together to connect without judgment, and FLAME is a natural extension of this mission. It’s a night of connection, fun, and the holiday spirit, where attendees can meet new friends, enjoy holiday traditions, and have a great time at the most exciting Chanukah event in town.
Connecting young Jewish professionals in St. Pete
FLAME is the ultimate gathering for young Jewish professionals in St. Pete. Chabad has partnered with corporate sponsors Jac Smith Group at Keller Williams Realty St. Pete and Otter PR to make this year’s event better than ever. Like the rest of Chabad’s events, FLAME is designed to provide a spiritual, social, and professional gathering for young Jews hoping to celebrate their culture and advance their lives with like-minded individuals.
“We are thrilled to host the 3rd annual FLAME, the most anticipated Chanukah party for young Jewish adults in St. Pete!” said Rabbi Menachem Mendel Lebovics, the host of FLAME, in a recent press release. “This year, we’ve upped the game with new features like a fresh latke station and an epic dreidel competition. It’s the perfect opportunity to connect, network, and celebrate with our vibrant and growing community. It’ll be a night to remember!”
Rabbi Mendel Lebovics and the rest of the team behind FLAME have ambitious plans for the event this year and in the future. In 2023, FLAME welcomed over 140 attendees, and they hope to be even better this year, offering an unforgettable night of connection, culture, and celebration. FLAME has already solidified itself as the largest and most vibrant Chanukah celebration for Jewish adults in the St. Petersburg area.
Tickets are now available on the website for the Chabad Young Professionals St. Pete. General admission tickets cost $36 and are available at this low price until December 25. For those looking for last-minute Chanukah plans, tickets are also available at the door for $50. Purchasers will also have the option of adding a VIP parking spot for easy access to the event for only $10 more, although this benefit is free for members of the Chai Club.
FLAME is one of a series of events that Chabad is organizing to celebrate the holiday season. Other events include dinners, menorah lightings on the beach, and community events that will give members of the Jewish community in St. Pete an unforgettable celebration.
However, Chabad’s work doesn’t stop at the holidays. Year-round events are organized to help young professionals make meaningful connections.
If you want to support FLAME and the other amazing events Chabad puts on for the holiday and throughout the year, consider making an additional donation to the organization when you purchase your tickets. This will allow Chabad to put on more young professional events in St. Petersburg that will make a difference in the community.
So, what are you waiting for? If you are a young Jewish professional in St. Petersburg, buy your ticket now for the Chanukah celebration of the year.
