We continue to watch the Caribbean, where what was Potential Tropical Depression # 19 became Tropical Storm Sara on Thursday. Sara is forecast to move slowly along the coast of Honduras for the next couple of days, bringing heavy rain, flash flooding, and mudslides. There’s a tropical storm warning for the northern coast of Honduras and the Bay Islands. A tropical storm watch is in effect for portions of the Nicaraguan coast. Sara is forecast to come ashore in Belize or Guatemala on Sunday and track slowly across the Yucatan, where it’s now expected to dissipate on Tuesday. Tropical moisture from the remnants of Sara are likely to be caught up in a front that will dip into the Gulf of Mexico on Wednesday and Thursday, so rain chances in Florida will increase late next week.
