Look for a gusty ocean breeze in the East Coast metro area and a high risk of dangerous rip currents at the Atlantic beaches. Highs on Thursday will be mostly in the low 90s — but it will feel at least 10 degrees hotter, so stay hydrated and out of the sun.
Friday will bring mostly sunny skies in the morning and a few showers and storms in the afternoon and early evening. Friday’s highs will be in the low 90s.
Saturday will feature a mix of sun and clouds in the morning and some showers and storms in the afternoon. Saturday’s highs will be in the low 90s.
Sunday will continue the pattern of mostly sunny mornings and a few afternoon showers and storms. Sunday’s highs will be in the low 90s.
Monday’s forecast calls for a mix of sun and clouds with periods of showers and storms. Highs on Monday will be in the low 90s again.
In the tropics, we’re watching three waves that each have a low chance of development. The first is the wave that’s now entering the western Caribbean and will be in the Bay of Campeche this weekend. The second wave is in the central Atlantic and will soon be entering an area that’s hostile to tropical development. Finally, the wave in the eastern Atlantic is bringing heavy rain to portions of the Cabo Verde Islands as it moves northwestward over open waters.
