Burt Reynolds sold his Hobe Sound mansion, thus avoiding forclosure proceedings. Pop icon David Cassidy wasn’t as lucky as his Fort Lauderdale home was sold at court-ordered auction Thursday. By Jose Lambiet, GossipExtra.com, forSouthFloridaReporter.com, Sept. 11, 2015 – HOBE SOUND — Like the making of an epic Hollywood movie, the sale of Burt Reynolds‘ Hobe Sound mansion was more than eight years in the making.
FORT LAUDERDALE — Four bidders who had to prove they had $3 million cash in the bank battled for about 30 minutes in a bankruptcy court auction today in Fort Lauderdale to buy the house of 1970s pop icon David Cassidy.
In the end, the lucky buyer got the crib for $1,855,000!
Furnished.
The buyer’s identity won’t be released until a federal judge approves the sale. The hearing is scheduled for next week in Fort Lauderdale.
