Our Taste Of Winter, El Nino Style

Taste of winter

By Donna Thomas, SouthFloridaReporter.com Meteorologist, Jan. 5, 2016 – South Florida will get a taste of winter, El Nino style, on Tuesday and Wednesday, as we’ll see both rainy and cool conditions. After a chilly and mostly dry Tuesday morning, showers will move in on a building breeze during the afternoon and evening. Highs will reach the low 70s.

image3Neither Tuesday nor Wednesday will be beach days, which is a good thing, because the risk of dangerous rip currents will be high both days. Wednesday will be cloudy, rainy, and cool, with morning lows in the upper 50s to mid 60s and highs just reaching the low 70s.

We could see periods of heavy rain in spots on Wednesday, and a storm isn’t out of the question.

Thursday and Friday will be more pleasant, with just the chance of a stray shower, sun and clouds, and highs in the upper 70s.

We’ll see sun, clouds, and passing showers this weekend, with highs near 80 degrees on Saturday and afternoon temperatures reaching the low 80s on Sunday.
