Showers And Heat Today And In The Days To Come

Showers

By Donna Thomas, SouthFloridaReporter.com Meteorologist, Dec. 30, 2015 –South Florida will wrap up 2015 with more showers but the same old heat. We’ll see showers pass through on Wednesday morning as “lows” remain well in the 70s, followed by another day with near record highs in the mid 80s, some showers on the ocean breeze, and a moderate risk of dangerous rip currents at the beaches.

image6Thursday will bring more of the same, with a muggy morning, passing showers, and highs in the mid 80s, as well as a New Year’s Eve that features temperatures in the upper 70s near midnight and the chance of a quick shower.

2016 starts out muggy and warm, with Friday’s highs in the low to mid 80s as a front approaches. But it now appears that the front will wash out near or over South Florida. That will mean a rainy Saturday with highs in the low 80s, followed by more rain, clouds, even a storm or two, and highs in the upper 70s on Sunday — not the cool and pleasant weekend we’d hoped for
