By Donna Thomas, SouthFloridaReporter.com Meteorologist, Dec. 26, 2015 – South Florida’s late December heat wave will continue on Saturday, and we’ll have to wait for 2016 to see any real relief.

After another unseasonably warm early morning on Saturday, look for some sun, clouds and passing showers on the strong ocean breeze (especially in northern Broward and Palm Beach counties), a high risk of dangerous rip currents that will last through the weekend, and highs in the mid 80s.
Sunday will again see near-record warm morning “lows” well into the 70s, a few passing showers on a strong breeze, and highs in the mid 80s.
Our week ahead (and the rest of 2015) features unseasonably warm mornings, afternoon highs in the mid 80s, breezy conditions, and afternoon highs in the mid 80s — all in place through New Year’s Eve.
Computer models indicate more typical winter weather could reach South Florida late on January 1st — but we’ll have to wait and see.
