South Florida will be hot and mostly dry this weekend, but we can’t rule out a stray shower or storm. After a warm start, Saturday features sun and clouds, with sea breezes on both coasts strong enough to push most of the developing showers and storms well inland. Highs on Saturday will be in the low 90s in the east coast metro areas and the mid 90s along the Gulf coast and in the interior — but it will feel more like 100 degrees or more.Sunday will bring hot sun, some clouds, and mostly inland showers and storms in the afternoon. Sunday’s highs will be in the low 90s, but feel quite a bit hotter.
Monday will see sun, clouds, and some scattered showers and storms in the afternoon. Monday’s highs will be in the low 90s.
Look for another day of typical rainy season weather on Tuesday, with a mix of sun and clouds in the morning and a few showers and storms in the afternoon. Tuesday’s highs will be in the low 90s.
On Wednesday, we’re watching to see if enough Saharan dust filters in to limit afternoon showers and storms (but it’s still too early to rule the rain out). Highs on Wednesday will be in the low 90s.
Beryl’s remnants are now a low about 240 miles northwest of Bermuda. This feature has a low chance of redeveloping during the next few days until it finally dies out in the cold waters of the far North Atlantic.
