Building the Future of Law: How Van Horn Law Group Supports NSU’s Pro Bono Students

Van Horn Law Group is proud to celebrate the continued growth and impact of the Van Horn Law Group Endowed Pro Bono Honor Program Fund at Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law. Established to support NSU’s pro bono program and public interest law initiatives, the endowed fund has played an important role in promoting service-oriented legal education.

During the 2024–2025 academic year, the endowed fund helped NSU host a recognition event honoring law students who completed 50 hours of pro bono work. These students represent the next generation of attorneys committed to using their legal skills to serve vulnerable populations and strengthen the community.

“We believe in empowering future lawyers who choose compassion, integrity, and public service,” said Chad Van Horn, Founding Partner of Van Horn Law Group. “NSU has shaped countless legal professionals across South Florida, including myself, and this endowed fund is one way we can give back, support student success, and invest in the future of our profession.”

According to NSU’s 2025 Endowment Report, the Van Horn Law Group endowed fund continues to grow steadily through new contributions and investment returns, bringing the fund closer to the university’s $25,000 threshold required for annual program distributions.
