What started as a side hustle in a Canadian parking lot has now taken hold in Florida’s major cities. Panda Hub, a mobile-first platform described by some as “Uber for car detailing,” is quickly becoming the go-to service for car owners in busy cities like Miami, Orlando, Jacksonville, and beyond.
Through its app, users can book vetted local professionals in just a couple of minutes. The service doesn’t require a trip to a shop. Instead, detailers arrive wherever the car is parked, whether that’s a driveway, office lot, or street curb.
In Florida, where heat, humidity, and long commutes take a toll on vehicles, that kind of convenience is proving valuable. Since expanding into the state in late 2023, Panda Hub has registered more than 100 detailers through its Panda Partner app. Each one manages their own availability and accepts bookings based on their schedule and location.
“The idea was to simplify car care for people who are already stretched thin,” said Reza Ahmadi, co-founder of Panda Hub. “We didn’t want to just list detailers online. We wanted to build a system that works for both sides.”
Ahmadi and his co-founder Abdullah Sharief started the company during the early months of the pandemic. Instead of hiring a tech team out of the gate, they detailed cars themselves to understand the friction points in the industry. That early experience shaped the platform’s design, placing speed, clarity, and reliability at the center of the user experience.
The platform is now available throughout Florida. Since Panda Hub offers fully mobile detailing services, detailers registered across the state can accept bookings based on their location and travel preferences. Drivers can select a service, choose a time slot, and get matched with a local pro in their area. Prices typically start around $60 and vary based on package and location.
On the detailer side, Panda Hub handles all the backend logistics, including customer acquisition, payment processing, and review management. Most detailers on the app earn around $3,000 a month, according to company figures. A few who remain consistently available in high-demand areas report making over $5,000.
“This isn’t gig work where you take what you can get,” said Ahmadi. “It’s structured in a way that lets professionals build something stable.”
The company has now completed more than 50,000 bookings across North America and operates in 15 U.S. states. Florida is among its fastest-growing markets in the US, driven by a mix of climate needs and urban density.
For drivers, it’s a welcome shift from calling around or waiting at busy service shops. For professionals, it offers a pathway to reliable income without the overhead of running a traditional detailing business.
As more industries turn to mobile-first models to deliver local services, Panda Hub’s growth in Florida reflects a larger trend. Drivers want convenience. Detailers want consistency. And now, both are finding it in the same place.
