Sunday will be mostly sunny with plenty of showers and storms, especially in the afternoon and early evening. Sunday’s highs will be in the low 90s on the mainland and near 90 degrees in the Keys.
Monday’s forecast calls for a mix of hot sun, showers, and storms on the mainland. The Keys will be mostly sunny with showers in spots. Highs on Monday will be mostly in the low 90s.
In the tropics, Tropical Storm Dexter is beginning to transition to an extra-tropical cyclone as it moves east-northeastward in the middle of the Atlantic. The wave that’s approaching the central Atlantic could become a depression by the weekend as it moves west-northwestward to northwestward. And a low is forming off the southeast US coast. This feature currently has a medium chance of becoming a depression as it moves slowly westward before eventually turning northward.
