Tuesday features a mix of sun, clouds, and storms in the morning in the East Coast metro area, but look for plenty of clouds and showers in the afternoon.  The Gulf Coast will be mostly sunny with morning storms and afternoon showers.  Heavy rain and localized flooding are possible in spots.  Highs on Tuesday will be in the upper 80s right at the coasts and in the Keys, and near 90 degrees elsewhere in South Florida.

Wednesday will bring clouds and showers in the East Coast metro area and the Keys, while the Gulf Coast will see a mix of sun, clouds, and showers.  Look for sun and clouds in the Keys.  Wednesday’s highs will be near 90 degrees in the East Coast metro area and in the upper 80s along the Gulf Coast and the Keys.

Thursday will feature sun and storms in the morning and clouds and showers in the afternoon.  Thursday’s highs will be in the low 90s in the East Coast metro area, the upper 80s along the Gulf Coast, and the Keys.

Friday will continue the pattern of morning storms and afternoon showers.  Friday’s highs will be in the low 90s in the East Coast metro area, the upper 80s along the Gulf Coast, and the Keys.

Faith Based Events

Saturday’s forecast calls for a South Florida summertime mix of mostly sunny skies alternating with periods of showers and storms.  Highs on Saturday will be in the low 90s on the mainland and the upper 80s in the Keys.

In the tropics, a wave a few hundred miles east of the Windward Islands has a low chance of developing as it moves in the general direction of the Yucatan and Central America.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
