Storms will move through South Florida on Sunday, and some of those storms could be strong. After a cloudy start with a few early showers (especially in the Keys), look for storms to develop in the afternoon and linger into the evening. While the most widespread activity will be inland, the metro areas of Miami-Dade and Broward will also see storms, including periods of heavy rain, gusty winds, and dangerous lightning. Sunday’s highs will be in the upper 80s.
Showers and storms will again be in the forecast on Monday, but activity will not be as widespread. Monday’s highs will be around 90 degrees.
We’ll shift into a typical late July pattern by Tuesday, with a few early showers, scattered afternoon storms (especially inland), and highs in the low 90s. That pattern will remain in place on Wednesday and Thursday.
