By Terri Lynn, SouthFloridaReporter.com, Managing Editor, Sept. 18, 2015 – Who would have ever thought that “junk food” would ever have socially redeeming qualities? Well, Frito Lay, maker of the beloved Doritos tortilla chip is really thinking out of the bag.
The company has just introduced The Doritos Rainbows, a limited edition, multi-colored, cool ranch flavored chip created to raise funds for the It Gets Better Project, a nonprofit organization whose mission statement is “to communicate to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth around the world that it gets better, and to create and inspire the changes needed to make it better for them.”
The Doritos Rainbows available exclusively online, are $10 per bag.
UPDATE: At the time of this writing these cool and colorful chips were sold out! An hour later bags of chips were available.
As if we’re not surprised, a seller going by the name of jakestalone on EBay scored a bag of the coveted chips and listed them on EBay.
Note to jakestalone: We want a finder’s fee!
