Look for evening showers in the east coast metro area and nighttime storms along the Gulf coast. The Keys will see clouds and showers. Highs on Tuesday will be in the upper 80s along the coasts and the Keys, while the rest of South Florida will hit the low 90s.
Wednesday will bring some sun and more clouds to the mainland, along with periods of showers and storms. The Keys will see a mix of sun, clouds, and a few showers. Wednesday’s highs will be mostly in the upper 80s.
Thursday will feature partly sunny skies and plenty of showers and storms on the mainland, while the Keys will see good sun and a few clouds. Thursday’s highs will be nera 90 degrees in the east coast metro area and in the upper 80s along the Gulf coast and in the Keys.
Independence Day will start with a mix of sun and clouds on the mainland, but plenty of showers and storms will develop in the afternoon and linger into the evening. The Keys will see a mix of clouds and showers. Friday’s highs will be mostly in the upper 80s.
Saturday’s forecast calls for a mix of sun, clouds, and plenty of showers. Some afternoon storms are possible on the mainland. Highs on Saturday will be mostly in the upper 80s.
In the tropics, we continue to watch a wide area stretching from the eastern Gulf across Florida and into the Atlantic. A front is forecast to stall out and drift, potentially allowing for subtropical or tropical development. Currently, the National Hurricane gives this feature a low chance of becoming a depression over the next several days — but we’ll keep an eye on it.
