Showers And Afternoon Storms Continue

South Florida will see showers and a few storms on Friday, especially in the afternoon.  The day features a mix of sun and clouds with those showers and storms kicking in by mid-day.  Much of the activity will be along the Gulf coast and well inland.  Highs on Friday will be mostly in the mid 80s.

Saturday will bring good sun, building clouds, and a few late day showers and storms.  Saturday’s highs will be mostly in the mid 80s.

The Mother’s Day forecast for the Gulf coast includes a nice mix of sun and clouds with the chance of a shower.  But the east coast metro area will see some sun, more clouds, and periods of showers and storms.  Sunday’s highs will be in the upper 80s.

Monday will feature good sun, a few clouds, and isolated showers.  Monday’s highs will be in the upper 80s.

Faith Based Events

Look for more of the same on Tuesday — plenty of sun, a few clouds, and a shower or two in spots.  Highs on Tuesday will be in the upper 80s.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
